This week’s Question of the Week concerns the U.S. economy. Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke said at the recent annual Fed conference that the U.S. economy is on the verge of a long-awaited recovery after undergoing one of the deepest recessions since the Great Depression. Bernanke said economic activity in both the U.S. and around the world is leveling out, with good near-term growth prospects.
