This week’s question concerns the changeover from analog to digital TV broadcasting in the United States. Starting February 17, 2009, all TV broadcasts will be digital. Viewers will have to buy government- approved converter boxes, purchase DVR recorders with digital tuners, or subscribe to pay TV services if they want to use existing analog (NTSC) TV sets to receive digital broadcasts.
