This week’s question concerns a recent FBI announcement that they are reopening their investigation of the only unsolved skyjacking in US history. On November 24, 1971, a mysterious figure known as D.B. Cooper hijacked a Seattle-bound Boeing 727 airliner. After demanding $200,000 and four parachutes, he released the other 36 passengers in Seattle and ordered the pilot to take him to Mexico. Somewhere between Seattle and Reno, NV, Cooper opened the plane’s rear exit and jumped out into the rainy night, never to be seen again. The FBI now hopes modern technology and mass communications may help them solve the case. What do you think? Did D.B. Cooper survive?
